- Two doses each of 100 micrograms of ethinyloestradiol and 500 micrograms
of levenorgestrel given 12 hours apart within 72 hours of unprotected
intercourse
- 0-3% failure rate
- side effects include nausea and vomiting
- A single dose of 600 micrograms of mifepristone
a progesterone antagonist is also highly effective
