Types

  • pelvirectal - rare

Symptoms & Signs

  • Constant, throbbing perianal pain
  • Worse on sitting
  • (Pelvi-rectal) May be lower abdominal pain
  • Indurated tender mass perianally
  • Boggy mass PR -ishiorectal fossa or anteriorly (pelvirectal
  • Fever

Treatment

  • Incision, curretage and packing
  • + Antibiotics only indicated in diabetics and immunocompromised
