- often woman with pain in left iliac fossa
Symptoms
- long history of frequent recurrent episodes with long symptom free
intervals
- abdominal pain
- diarrhoea or constipation
Examination
- looks well
- nothing to find
Investigation
- only if another diagnosis is being considered
Treatment
- reassurance about benign nature
- linseed
- increase or decrease fibre
- antispasmodics
- ?check for Depression
