  • very common skin malignancy
  • related to chronic sun exposure
  • locally very invasive
  • metastasises rarely

Examination

  • occurs most commonly on face
  • ulcer
    • edge
      • raised
    • colour
      • pearly
    • other
      • fine telangiectasia

Histology

  • clumps of small cells surrounded by pallisading
  • sometimes frequent mitoses
  • commonly ulcerated
  • cells similar to basal layer of Epidermis
