Symptoms / Signs

  • weeping, exudative areas

  • transient vesicles may be bullae

  • erythema

  • golden crust indicative of Staphylococcus aureus

  • affects mainly face and limbs

Pathology

  • 90% Staph. aureus

  • may be group A streptococcus
