  • Gram negative -vancomycin too big to pass through outer membrane

  • Leuconstoc, Lactobacillus, Pediococcus, Erysipelothrix, Enterococcus gallinarum, Entercoccus casseliflavus - change in termini to D-ala-D-ser or D-ala-D-lactate

  • Enterococcus faecium, Entercoccus faecalis - acquired resistance
