• trial of labour
  • 30% risk of Forceps Delivery
  • 30% risk of Caesarean Section
  • abandon if
    • no increase in dilatation over 4 hours (2 hours if membranes ruptured) with strong uterine contractions
    • foetal distress
    • full dilatation not achieved within 12 hours
