Epidemiology
- typically first born male chils
Clinical Features
- projectile vomiting at 3-8 weeks old
- characteristically hungry
- failure to gain weight
- visible stomach wall peristalsis
- palpable "tumour" in right hypochondrium on test feed
Investigation
- abdominal ultrasonography
- barium contrast studies
- U&Es
- ↓ sodium
- ↓ potassium
- ↓ chloride
- metabolic acidosis
