Presentation
- Incarceration or strangulation of the bowel diagnoses the hernia.
Treatment
- Repair is usually made through the abdomen
- hernia sac and contents are reduced
- weak area closed by making a fascial flap from the superficial fascia
of the piriformis muscle.
