- Expose chest
- Look for breathing movement - distress?
- Palpation
- Percuss - fluid/air
- Auscultate - for information about air movement
- Respiratory rate
- O2 stats - <94% is abnormal
- Blood gases - indications - raised respiratory rate with lowered SaO2
