- Microscopy of bone marrow, spleen/lymph nodes

- FBC = hypersplenism
- anaemia
- thrombocytopenia
- reduced WCC
- Albumin reduced
- Increased IgG
- -ve Leishmanin skin test

Treatment
- Stibogluconate (antimonial)
- Allopurinol
- Pentamidine
- Liposomal amphotericin B (expensive)
