- obturator externus
- gracilis
- adductor brevis
- adductor longus
- adductor magnus
Sensory Supply
- medial aspect of thigh
- hip and knee joints
Path
- emerges from medial aspect of psoas
- creosses pelvic brim in front of sacroiliac joint and behind
common iliac vessels
- lies lateral to ovary in pelvis
- runs forward in angle between internal and external iliac
vessels
- through obturator canal in upper part of obturator foramen
- spilts into anterior and posterior divisions to enter adductor
region of thigh
Common Pathology
- ovary lies medial and rupture of follicles can cause
monthly irritation in women
- pain in medial aspect of thigh
