    • hence psoas causes medial rotation in intact femur
  • joint stabilised by acetabular labrum
  • round ligament carries blood vessels to tip of head of femur
  • retinacula carry blood vessels up neck of femur to head
    • broken neck of femur can lead to ischemia and necrosis of head of femur
