Features
- muscle weakness
- diaphragmatic weakness
- decreased cardiac contractility
- skeletal muscle rhabdomyolysis
- left-shift in oxyhaemoglobin dissociation curve
- haemolysis
- confusion
- hallucinations
- convulsions
Treatment
- administration of phosphate
- no faster than 9mmol / 12 hours
- monitor calcium levels
