  • antibody deficiency
  • presents in childhood or adult life (late onset)
  • B cell numbers normal, failure to differentiate
  • few if any defects in T-cell function

Clinical features

Complications

  • May develop autoimmune disease
  • increased risk of lymphoreticular malignancy

Diagnosis

  • reduced immunoglobulin
  • normal B cells numbers

Treatment

  • immunoglobulin replacement
