Upper Limb Ischaemia

• Rare because
  • Atherosclerosis is uncommon in the upper limb
  • There is a rich collateral supply at the shoulder

 Usual Causes

• Subclavian artery compressed thoracic outlet
• Emboli in the brachial or more distant arteries
• Vasospastic conditions such as Raynaud's disease
