- characteristic skin lesion
- erythem chronicum migrans
- headache
- fever
- malaise
- myalgia
- arthralgia
- lymphadenopathy
- second stage
- neurological
- meningoencephalitis
- cranial neuropathy
- polyneuropathy
- cardiac
- conduction disorders
- myocarditis
- third stage
- arthritis recurring over several years
- often associated with erosion of cartilage and bone
Diagnosis
- IgM in first month
- IgG late in disease
Treatment
- Shorten duration
- Later stages
